Our Wedding

We want to thank all our family and friends for all their love and support over the past 6 years. We have cancelled our wedding for several reasons and we need to focus on what is best for our family right now and the wedding is definately not it, unfortunately. We hope to see you all soon and thank you again!

I know it's been awhile since I last posted and some of you are probably wondering what the heck is going on with Vince's situation. So I will start with that.. His thyroid hormones have finally gone down to normal range!! So they say there is nothing wrong with him and nothing to be concerned about, thank you God. But about 3 weeks ago JJ got the flu, I followed and then Vince and Jason did. So we all battled the flu for about 2 weeks.

Just as we were all getting better, JJ got a very bad cold, and once again I followed and so did Vincent.... so we thought. When I took Vincent to the doctor....expecting to hear that he just had the bronchitis cold that me and JJ had......the doctor turned around to tell me he has croup!
Croup is basically like having bronchitis in your throat instead of your chest. And because babies airways are so small to begin with, they can easily close up. He is on steroids for 3 nights to help keep his airways and lungs strong and open. This is our second night and he is taking it very well. He is also cutting his first tooth! JJ and I are feeling much better since last week , stil with a slight cough but no chest congestion anymore. But just as the pattern of the flu Jason is getting the bronchitis!

Needless to say our house has been pure hell this past couple weeks but we are fighting to stay strong and pull through this mess of illness'. Lots of Tea, honey, lysol, sterilizing and cough meds!

JJ turned 2 on the 24th and we had originally planned on having his birthday party on the 22nd but due to him and I being so sick we had to cancel. We wound up having it on the day of his birthday and it worked out well. Jason's Aunt Martha and Uncle Ross had just gotten in town from NY that afternoon and were able to make it to the party. It was so great to see them, because we only get to see them about once a year and we miss them so much, just like we miss all our family who live in other states!

I will post more this weekend with pictures from JJ's party and some other recent events!

So every night Jason checks on the boys when I get home from work to make sure they are tucked in and sleeping. Last night Jason called me to look at JJ. When I peeked in I didn't see him in his bed and that was because he decided he would like to sleep in his crate of stuffed animals instead! Can't say I blame him, it looked kinda comfy.

JJ's bedhead
He always has the one curl on top of his head!

I swear I could just eat him up!

Mr. Attitude

JJ washing out!

The doctor is in!

We haven't been blogging in awhile because the flu decided to go full circle in our house! There hasn't been many happy days in the Sirico household the last week and a half. It started when the kids went to my sisters one night while me and Jay went out to dinner. My sister called the next day and said Cole, my nephew, had gotten sick that morning and wanted to know how JJ was doing? JJ was fine running around like a maniac. Then the next morning JJ got hit hard. The whole nine yards of flu symptoms. about 2 and a half days he was down. Then it got me next for about 2 days. Vincent took his turn the day after I got sick but he isn't recovering as quickly as the rest of us did. He is actually going to go to the doctor this morning. and then last but not least Jay got it. His lasted about 3 days. Needless to say I have been walking around with lysol and clorox wipes since and can't clean enough. None of us have gotten the flu vaccine this year and now I kinda wish we did!

Other news in Vincents world, he is teething like crazy!!!! The poor guy can't catch a break. And at the end of the week he will have to go for his blood work for his endo. appt. on the 20th.

JJ has been gearing upp for his "hoppies" (birthday). He is very excited now that he has a little bit better understanding of what a birthday is!I can't believe I have a 2 year old, so crazy, they grow way toooo fast, is a mid life crisis possible at 25?

JJ with his cousin Cole
JJ after his day at the school

Vince thinks he is ready to drive

JJ Mr fix it

brothers

My nephew Cole had an award ceremony at school, where he was to recieve an award. For those of you who don't know, Cole has what they call high functioning autism. He is truley remarkable, there were times I wondered if was going to ever talk or have a normal life and now you wouldn't even know he had the condition. He has done so well just in the past 2 years and we are so proud of him. At school he recieved an award for the remarkable progress he has made. Coles teacher let Jj sit with the class for the ceremony, and JJ just loved it. He just loves being with other kids, I can already tell he is going to really enjoy school. After the ceremony JJ was s tired he passed out in the car seat.
Vincent thinks he a stunt man, no matter how many times you sit him down in the car he insists on standing, even while you are pushing him around!
The boys got some bath foam for christmas and apparently big Jay had more fun with it then the kids did, He used an entire bottle between the 2 of them and the water in the tub was gross from all the foam, but it was cute so I guess its okay!

January pictures!

Hanging out watching Daddy trim the tree
JJ annoying Vince as usual.

My little chunk a monk

He is starting to hold his own bottle....

.....finally!!!!
We had a very busy weekend, our backyard has not been cared for in months so we decided to do a full clean up this weekend and it looks great. Jason had the eltric hedge trimmer out. For those of you who may not know I nearly took off my finger with it a week after Vince was born. I got 4 stiches and didn't have feeling in my finger for 4 months. I stil have trouble using it. And have been terrified of the trimmer since. So I made sure they stayed on the blanket while it was in use. But the boys had a great time playing outside.
For some reason my boys seem to be lazy, most babies hold their bottle on their own around 5 months or so. JJ didn't hold his own bottle til he was like 8 or 9 months and vince now at 7 months is finally holding his!

Wedding Update

Well Jason and I have very mixed feeling about how we should celebrate the big day that we have patiently waited 6 years for. I know we already said the date would be June 13, 2009 but we might be changing that and possibly location. We have a lot to figure out and only a little bit of money to spend and it has become an extremely overwhelming choice for us. We appreciate all the ideas and suggestions we just hope that everyone understands that we really want to make this day something we don't look back on and wish we did differently. No matter how or where or what we do we want everyone to know that we really value or family and really appreciate everyones support!

A playdate

JJ playing with the baby doll.
Vince and his girlfriend enjoying a movie

Brothers already fighting over a girl.

Vince oh so romantically kissing her hand

loving her.
I took the boy for a playdate at my girlfriend's house. She has a little girl, Londyn, who is 3 months younger then Vince. Vince loves the younger woman, he kept grabbing her and wanting to either bite her or kiss her. It was hysterical. About 2 hours after getting there I had gone to change JJ's diaper and found a crayon in it! I guess he found new storage for his personal belongings. JJ was keeping himself entertained with a baby doll my they had. As one of the pictures show, there was a point where JJ wanted to get Vince out of the way and have Londyn for himself! I can only imagine how it is going to be when they are in high school.

Another day at the 3 ring circus

The birds eye view from our stairs.

Boys will be boys.

I was on the phone yesterday when I walked over by the stairs, only to look down and see that Jason thought it would be a great idea to set up our huge 4-6 person tent in the middle of the living room! All though I didn't feel it was the best idea the boys had fun and atleast I didn't have to be the one to clean it up! It took up nearly our whole living room, I could barely even get a picture because there was no where to stand to take the picture.

Someone looks like their Daddy

Fourth of July 2008
Nana Sirico and Jason looks about 18 months

JJ Christmas Eve 2008

Jason looks about 2

Rosemarie kept all her pictures in a box so I had only seen them once or twice before and not too many were from when Jason was a baby, mostly like 4 and up. Right before they moved and they had started going through all their stuff, she had showed me all these pics and let me keep doubles of some. I came across them the other day and had to take a double look. I could not believe how much JJ looks like his daddy! And if JJ only had the hair =)
