I know it's been awhile since I last posted and some of you are probably wondering what the heck is going on with Vince's situation. So I will start with that.. His thyroid hormones have finally gone down to normal range!! So they say there is nothing wrong with him and nothing to be concerned about, thank you God. But about 3 weeks ago JJ got the flu, I followed and then Vince and Jason did. So we all battled the flu for about 2 weeks.
Just as we were all getting better, JJ got a very bad cold, and once again I followed and so did Vincent.... so we thought. When I took Vincent to the doctor....expecting to hear that he just had the bronchitis cold that me and JJ had......the doctor turned around to tell me he has croup!
Croup is basically like having bronchitis in your throat instead of your chest. And because babies airways are so small to begin with, they can easily close up. He is on steroids for 3 nights to help keep his airways and lungs strong and open. This is our second night and he is taking it very well. He is also cutting his first tooth! JJ and I are feeling much better since last week , stil with a slight cough but no chest congestion anymore. But just as the pattern of the flu Jason is getting the bronchitis!
Needless to say our house has been pure hell this past couple weeks but we are fighting to stay strong and pull through this mess of illness'. Lots of Tea, honey, lysol, sterilizing and cough meds!
JJ turned 2 on the 24th and we had originally planned on having his birthday party on the 22nd but due to him and I being so sick we had to cancel. We wound up having it on the day of his birthday and it worked out well. Jason's Aunt Martha and Uncle Ross had just gotten in town from NY that afternoon and were able to make it to the party. It was so great to see them, because we only get to see them about once a year and we miss them so much, just like we miss all our family who live in other states!
I will post more this weekend with pictures from JJ's party and some other recent events!

So every night Jason checks on the boys when I get home from work to make sure they are tucked in and sleeping. Last night Jason called me to look at JJ. When I peeked in I didn't see him in his bed and that was because he decided he would like to sleep in his crate of stuffed animals instead! Can't say I blame him, it looked kinda comfy.

JJ's bedhead
He always has the one curl on top of his head!
I swear I could just eat him up!
Mr. Attitude
JJ washing out!
The doctor is in!We haven't been blogging in awhile because the flu decided to go full circle in our house! There hasn't been many happy days in the Sirico household the last week and a half. It started when the kids went to my sisters one night while me and Jay went out to dinner. My sister called the next day and said Cole, my nephew, had gotten sick that morning and wanted to know how JJ was doing? JJ was fine running around like a maniac. Then the next morning JJ got hit hard. The whole nine yards of flu symptoms. about 2 and a half days he was down. Then it got me next for about 2 days. Vincent took his turn the day after I got sick but he isn't recovering as quickly as the rest of us did. He is actually going to go to the doctor this morning. and then last but not least Jay got it. His lasted about 3 days. Needless to say I have been walking around with lysol and clorox wipes since and can't clean enough. None of us have gotten the flu vaccine this year and now I kinda wish we did!
Other news in Vincents world, he is teething like crazy!!!! The poor guy can't catch a break. And at the end of the week he will have to go for his blood work for his endo. appt. on the 20th.
JJ has been gearing upp for his "hoppies" (birthday). He is very excited now that he has a little bit better understanding of what a birthday is!I can't believe I have a 2 year old, so crazy, they grow way toooo fast, is a mid life crisis possible at 25?
